Fortinet Initiates Global Alliance Partner Program

Fortinet has initiated a three-tiered Global Alliance Partner Program designed to complement and extend the unified threat management (UTM) solution provider’s product and service offerings for large global enterprises and service providers.

The Fortinet Global Alliance Partner Program will consist of an ecosystem of information technology (IT) vendors, global systems integrators, service providers, and technology consultancy firms. Initial program members include Alcatel-Lucent, AMD, ArcSight, ProCurve Networking by HP and Unisys.

“Fortinet believes strongly in working closely with partners to meet the varying requirements of our customers and has successfully built mutually-beneficial partnerships with industry leaders," said Karl Soderlund, vice president of Americas sales and global alliances for Fortinet.

The program is aimed at creating effective partnerships with innovative and industry-leading companies to meet varying customer requirements for multiple levels of security, management and enterprise-class support, while providing a defense-in-depth approach to help secure large networks around the world.

The three tiers that make up this partner program are on a strategic, solution and technology level.

Chosen partners can reap benefits such as early access to enhanced products, joint marketing and solution testing, training, technical support, and sales tools.

"The Fortinet Global Alliance Program provides a formalized framework for existing and new partners to drive maximized value to customers and incremental revenue to Fortinet and its partners,” added Soderlund.

“As a Fortinet Strategic Partner, we are able to even more closely collaborate to solve customer security challenges through our ProCurve ProActive Defense strategy and the pairing of our Network Immunity Manager with Fortinet’s multi-threat security appliances,” said Paul Congdon, Chief Technology Officer and HP Fellow, ProCurve Networking by HP.

Fortinet's offering includes its industry-leading FortiGate family of multi-threat security systems that deliver comprehensive network and content protection to enterprises and service providers of all sizes through the integration of eight essential security applications and services - including antivirus, firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), anti-spam, anti-spyware, Web filtering and traffic shaping.
