Networking equipment giant, Cisco seems to be on an acquisition spree. Cisco has barely completed the acquisition of WebEx. It has now roped in another acquisition. Cisco is planning to buy a software company that makes security monitoring and surveillance solutions, BroadWare.
This acquisition will help Cisco develop its security solutions practice and video products, which includes recently purchased technologies from SyPixx and IronPort.
BroadWare claims to use the Internet to transmit audio and video, and embed video on a webpage.
