Google has managed to clear itself out in the copyright infringement lawsuit regarding the usage of thumbnails to display images in its image search product. Adult Entertainment Company Perfect 10 slapped the allegation against Google.
Last year, the court ruling was against Google and the company had to stop thumbnailing the Perfect 10’s images. However, the tables were turned when an appeals court judge said that Google could note be held responsible for indexing a site that is illegally copying Perfect 10's images.
Both Google and Perfect 10 have said that they are satisfied with the court’s decision. However, Perfect 10 has not made it clear if they will appeal again.
