Mobile gear provider, Nokia has introduced Nokia Intrusion Prevention with Sourcefire, a security appliance aimed at helping enterprises keep their networks secure. The product aims to provide security particularly in the face of threats that arise as more employees access corporate data remotely from devices like smartphones and laptops, the company said.
"In an increasingly mobile business environment, it is critical that companies are protected from all potential threats both internal and external and at all vectors," said Tom McDonough, president and COO, Sourcefire. According to Nokia, the product has a three tiered structure:
- Sourcefire Intrusion Sensor
- Sourcefire Real-Time Network Awareness
- Sourcefire Defense Centre for Nokia
Pricing for Nokia Intrusion Prevention with Sourcefire starts at USD 14,995 and is available as part of Nokia's IP390 security platform.
