Sales of Linux based servers are growing and in fact are seeing better trends than Windows based servers, say Dell Computers founder Michael Dell.
Dell says the sale of Linux powered servers have been even better and contrast what Microsoft has been claiming for a couple of years.
Michael Dell said, “On the server side Linux continues to grow nicely, a bit faster than Windows. We're seeing a move to Linux in critical applications, and Linux migration has not slowed down."
Even otherwise many companies are pushing Linux based servers in the market as they feel it not just reduces prices but helps customers in having a sense of freedom in not being tied up to a particular vendor. |
